2020 NTABL News


The Winter Manager's Meeting will be Wednesday, February 5th at Sports Garden DFW.

All returning and prospective managers need to plan on attending or sending a team representative.   


Teams can secure a spot with a $500 REFUNDABLE deposit which will get your team listed on the Teams page.  This will allow inquiring players to contact you directly to arrange a workout session.


Tryouts for the spring/summer season will be February 29 at Prestonwood Graham Field. Starting at 8 am until Noon.


Team fee balances will be due March 6. After March 6th there will be $250 added to team fees.  Teams not paid in full by March 15th will not be on the schedule.  No exceptions! Players who have paid will have a chance to hook up with another team or have their money refunded.  


Games will begin the week of March 29.


What's new for 2020?  

  • We will only have (1) 18+ division this year.
  • 35+ Division will play 2 games in 1 week of each month (Monday and Thursday) in an effort to expedite the season.
  • VP's have discretion to stop managers from moving player on and off roster.
  • Anthony Cass is taking over as President for Kirk Pruitt.
  • Jason Bottenfield and Shawn Lee will split the 18+ division as Co-VP's
  • Boston Coppedge will be the VP of the 35+ division.
  • Travis Washmon will be the VP of the 45+ division.
  • Larry Rinder will be the VP of the 55+ division and new league treasurer
  • Kirk Pruitt transitions to God Father of the NTABL and will continue to communicate with multiple organization he has relationships with.


What stays the same for 2018?

  • Sam Kayea returns as the Director of Fields and Umpires
  • Shawn Lee begins his sixth tour as our Social Media Coordinator.
  • Gerry Mecca will continue to serve as foundation treasurer

Costs

Payment options will remain the same; all major credit cards, cash and PayPal.  Team fees remain about the same.  Cost to play is still about $15 per game. Team fees still include fields, lights, umpires, high quality baseballs, team score book, website, email game reminders, text messaging system for rain outs and urgent messages, league administration,  MSBL National Membership, liability and secondary medical insurance.


18 Division (18+) - $5050 for 20 games plus playoffs (Championship Series and President's Tournament). All American Division games will be 2-hour weekday and 2:45 hour weekend games playing twice a week, usually a Tuesday/Wednesday and a Sunday based on field availability. Playoffs are 9 inning.


35+ Veterans are usually on Thursdays and 45+ Masters are usually on Mondays, 2-hours or seven inning games.  The team fee for the Veterans and will be $4750 for an 18 game season with a double elimination tournament at the end.  The team fee for Masters will be $4300 for a 16 game season plus playoffs.


55+ Legacy Division should play on Monday/Thursdays.  The team fee will be $4300 per team for a 14 game season plus playoffs.  


Other Ball

We hope to hold our All Star games again this summer at the AA Frisco Roughriders home at Dr Pepper Ballpark in August with a game for each division.  As of this writing, our date is not confirmed.


Rookie League starts on the Saturday one week BEFORE Memorial Weekend and is a 10 game, $165 per player developmental and player pool league that plays doubleheaders over 6 Saturdays. This program filled UP last year, so sign up soon if you want to play.   Players on rosters from any other NTABL division can play in the Rookie League for half price ($82.50).


Fall League starts around Labor Day is a 10 game plus single elimination playoff open league that plays 7-inning, 2-hour time limit games twice a week, one weekday and one Sunday.  Team fees and deposit date TBD. We typically have two divisions - Competitive and Recreational.


What do you need to do?

If you are a manager, contact your players and get started collecting fees. If you are a player, contact your manager from last season or sign up for the free agent list in the division you want to play.   

The registration system will be open January 14 so managers can begin setting their teams up and gathering fees.     

Returning teams contact your VP if you want last year's team copied over (we cannot give out info for players not on your past roster).
